My food was full of baby cockroaches! I thought it was seasoning like pepper but after spitting it out I noticed way more, at least 20. They made this “fresh” so I know the kitchen must be full of roaches. I used to order from here all the time but won’t anymore. I’m so nauseous.
I really didn't get to try a lot of their items but the lo mien and chicken egg roll, decent although they charged me as if I had two egg rolls when I only ordered one. That's my only complain I guess. The place looked clean, the ambience is what it is in places like this. I will have to stop by and try some of their entrees to write I'm more informed review. From the look of it, they also have items that they can make to order and I'm sure will be much better than what's sitting under those heating lamps (which I kind of hate!). I will recommend it if you're in the area and are craving some Chinese American takeout! Salud!
Typical Chinese food ambience. Place seems pretty popular as it had a steady line since the time I arrived until I left. I got my usual plate of half & half with orange chicken and broccoli beef. The broccoli beef ended up being my favorite of the bunch. The orange chicken is a bit sweeter than other places, definitely has an tangerine aftertaste, after a while I was over it. Chowmein was pretty bland in my opinion, didn't have much flavor, the rice had a teeny bit more of flavor but still pretty bland. They also had rice noodles available. (White thin chowmein). The portion sizes were pretty good, I was full with half of the plate. The combo B runs just under $10 but I did get a 0.25 charge for using card so it came up about 10.15. There is also a surcharge for walnut shrimp, I believe it was about 1.25.
Restaurant was kept nice and tidy and employees were nice. Not the worst I've had but not the best, a bit below average in my books tho, but definitely give them a try, you might like it a bit more than I did .
Stopped by this place on 13 April. Been coming here every time I'm in LA for a long time. For $11, I got three meat and half and half chow mein and rice. Food was pretty good, especially the jalapeño chicken. That chicken was fire. Sweet and spicy. Can't go wrong there. Staff were friendly and they do keep the place clean. Highly recommend.
I recently tried the wonton soup here, and it was absolutely delicious! The soup was filled with fresh ingredients like cabbage, green onions, shrimp, chicken, and celery. The broth was incredibly flavorful and savory. Highly recommended!
