Customer Reviews
I will begin by saying that our server was very friendly and respectful from beginning to end.
He took our order of drinks first and then brought it to us. This was at 4:50pm. We had an agua fresca of horchata and Jamaica (pleasant). Once he served our drinks, he took our order (that was at 5pm) of a chilanga torta and fries. The server told us he would bring us some chips and sauce which took about 20 minutes. Then, we eventually finished the chips and drinks, and our food was still not served. At around 5:35pm, our server came by to check in on us and we asked him about the delay in our order. His response was that there were only two cooks in the kitchen and one had just arrived but he assured us our food was going to be served shortly. (He was very polite throughout our time there). We continued to wait. It was 5:50 and we called the server, and asked about our order again and let him know it had been an hour. He said our order had got mixed up and that he apologized. (We were very disappointed and upset!) It was now 5:55pm and 1/2 of our order was served which was our Torta. The fries were not ready yet as the server said and we told him that we didn’t want them anymore. Shortly after, the owner of the restaurant came out to apologize and explain the delays. She began by saying that if we knew the KLove station had visited them earlier today and they had gifted her with concert tickets at Tijuana. (Which was completely irrelevant) She went on to explain that she had hired young inexperienced workers and blamed them for the delays, stating that they had mixed up the orders. Additionally, she stated that all her food was freshly made and that it took time to prepare. She went on with other details that quite frankly made me upset.
She did offer us the fries at no charge but we declined. We told her that more than an hour wait was simply unacceptable. We paid and left.
Regardless, of our bad experience, we hope her business thrives and improves its services.
I can’t comment on the food because it would be unfair. However, I can say that the long hour wait and the justifications given by the owner gave me a “mal
Sabor de boca” (bitter taste).
Cool spot to grab a bite to eat.
Had the hawaiian torta..omg delicious. Very good. The chips n beans also good. Fries good too. Everything is made fresh. Nice decor
Came here because I was curious about the food since they decorated the place in such a unique way and I was not let down. I had a torta and it was just perfect. The right amount of meats and cheeses with some ripe avocado oh man super delicious. Ice cold Mexican Coke to follow and a hot dog wrapped in bacon to end the trip on. I'm glad I came in this place does not disappoint the flavors are all there and the ambience makes this place a little gem.
The food here is very good clean awesome really good Tortas
The inside looks better than the pictures. Really cool vibe to sit and eat alone or with a party. Staff is super friendly. Food is authentic and tasty so in my opinion you get what you pay for. There’s McDonalds down the street if you think it’s too pricey.
