Loved this place. Originally from the UK which has a big Caribbean community. Since being in the USA, namely the West Coast, I've been let down with Jamaican food… until now. This food was so fresh and cooked with so much love. Authentic flavor for sure.

This place has a lot of potential—the oxtails were flavorful, and the gravy was excellent. However, there are a few critical issues that need to be addressed.

The moment I walked in, I noticed an off-putting chemical smell instead of the appetizing aroma of food. Cleanliness was a major concern—if the kitchen prep area is visible to customers, it should at least be presentable. Right now, it looks like a cluttered mess. The front counter was sticky, and the kitchen from where I can see it looks like a mess, with a dusty old box fan sitting on top of counter— far too close to what looked like food prep areas. Had I seen this before ordering, I would have left. The reception counter was also sticky and cluttered with random knickknacks (including an old, dirty mirror). A minimalist approach would make the space feel cleaner and more professional. At the very least, the customer area needs a deep clean.

I ordered the large oxtail plate. While the oxtails and gravy were delicious and the veggies were decent, the rice tasted days old—it was full of hard, stale pieces. For the price, I was disappointed that plantains weren’t included.

Final Thoughts:
The staff were very friendly, and the owners seem like good people. However, the issues with cleanliness, presentation, and inconsistent food quality (like the rice) are too significant for me to return unless improvements are made. With better attention to these details, this restaurant could truly stand out.

There was an advertised buy 1 get 1 deal on Uber eats which is pretty cool and I’m all about supporting good black businesses however, the rice and peas was stale and taste it like it was from the night before. The jerk chicken had little to no flavor as well as the rice and peas. The only thing that was pretty good, was the cabbage, and the plantain, which was actually OK. The beef patty was very hard. I hope you guys can improve upon these things and keep it consistent.

I truly am BLESSED to have Jah BLESSED in the neighborhood. I would drive to the original location before, and was BLESSED when they opened a location here. I've been enjoying the owner's cooking for almost 2 decades. I suggest the oxtails, any lunch special, or the patties. The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this as it is my favorite caribbean restaurant. BLESS UP!

I didnt get to try their food because uber eats was saying that their food is halal. But turned out the halal status was not confirmed by the owners. I literally had to throw away two full orders of curry chicken, because it didnt fit my dietary restrictions. Please, fix your settings in uber eats, if your food is not halal.. I didnt get a refund for it as well. The whole experience just ruined my entire day
