Customer Reviews
This place has been in business for years, and it's not because they have spent any time or money trying to juice the algorithm– Maps seems to ignore this joint, but you shouldn't. I saw one review claiming it isn't a good value. That seems insane to me. The bento boxes were legit. Brought the kids here and they went absolutely nuts for all the food on offer. We ordered enough during happy hour that we went home with another whole meal.
Service was great, place was calm and quiet, which we greatly appreciate. Kids can't wait to come back. Neither can the parents.
We celebrated a friend's birthday here and discovered a neighborhood gem! Sushi was fresh and delicious, the rolls were exceptionally good and the izakaya menu was very tasty and fun to explore with generous portions. With such a varied menu, we want to return and try more. Service was kindly and attentive and the atmosphere is very welcoming and serene. It's that rare place where any one can feel comfortable dining, solo, couples or groups. Prices are reasonable, and the happy hour is great! Thank you Hamakaze for a good night of fun and happy eating.
Service was good. Food was okay. Value was poor.
I ordered an happy hour Bento Box for about $25. HH menu is supposed to be a deal, but it was disappointed. Other than the entre aka protein, you get 5 kinds of veggies sides: Cucumber salad, seaweed salad, green salad, vegetable tempura, fruits. I almost thought I ordered something vegan! Most of the bento box at other restaurants would at least offer some kinds of protein or carbs like gyoza or California rolls. All the food tasted fine but felt blend.
I left the restaurant hungry after spending over $30 at for happy hour food, and I am not happy.
The black risotto was sooo yummy!! Surprisingly yummy for my partner since he's not a fan of mushrooms and this dish had a lot of them. The service was quick and the rest of the dishes were delicious as well. Worth visiting for sure!
We've been frequenting this restaurant for over 2 years now. Sometimes on a weekly basis for months in a row!!
We absolutely love the fresh sushi, service and chef! I am adventurous and try different things on the menu frequently… and have loved it all!!
