I love the food here! As a New Yorker, it’s hard to find good Dominican food in California, but this place delivers. I even drive up from San Diego just to get my fix it’s always worth it.

The food is delicious, and the service is great. A few tips: The sancocho is amazing (only served on weekends), and the bistec guisado with white rice and beans is a must-try.

And don’t forget to order a morir soñando. They use real orange juice, and it tastes just like home.

Whenever you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. The flavors will bring you right back to the island!

I’ve been coming to eat here for year now, and I can confidently say that it’s the best Dominican food I had outside of Dominican Republic. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to go back to DR for vacation and La Tia brings home to you, not just the food it’s amazing, but La Tia makes you feel home as if you are part of her family and you just stopped by to visit your auntie. It feels like being in my grandma’s backyard and having food, every time I eat here it takes me back to the good days of my childhood, I feel calm and at home and that feeling has no price. Also, my stomach always feels good after eating here, which it’s something I can’t say about a lot of other places.

I love getting mangu almost every morning and my husband loves the bacalao. We are truly fortunate that La Tia is here, I was very home sick but at least now I have a little bit of home near by.

Also, it’s pet friendly! Our little Husky pup loves tostones and La Tia has other more healthy treats for them too!

Food is amazing and customer service is even better. My fiancé is from DR and moved out here 8 years ago. Living in the Bay Area it is hard to find authentic Dominican food so once we found out about this place we had to make the drive! We were not disappointed, it gave him the taste of home he has been missing. Thank you so much for making our trip to LA that much better. We will be back every time we are down, life long customers!

I am Cuban, not Dominican, but was raised in Miami amongst a diverse Caribbean community and the food here at Karibbean Cuisine reminded me of my childhood coming over to my best friend's Dominican household and enjoying his mother's home cooking–this is where I learned to love mangú, mofongo and everything else DR has to offer. The food at Karibbean Cuisine reminded me of just that. Amazing place, delicious authentic food and homey service, this has been one of my favorite LA discoveries this year! You absolutely must visit here and support such a rich local business and staple of this community. A+
