I usually have good experiences here, the food is great, haven't had an issue with that. I come here weekly, I like supporting the small business.
Tonight was not the same. I ordered the same burrito I got last time and it was half the size. I got the guac on the side like last time and got a tiny container of it. I pointed out that I got a bigger one last time, and the kid just tells me that the one I got is what I get.
I could hear them saying "I bet you won't do it" "I just did" after I ordered my food. That makes me think they're doing something to the food which honestly made me not want to eat the burrito I ordered. I know one of them from my old work which makes it worse cause I know how he acts.
If I see them making the food, I'm just gonna go elsewhere next time. I don't play about people messing with my food, it's gross, even them talking like they might have is enough.
I've know the older employees are good so I'll come when I see them.
Solid spot for a quick Mexican bite. Had the huevos manchaca – and it was awesome! Probably better for take out – but very nice and helpful staff!
I’m writing to inspire : because we are really hungry customers who are paying a lot of money and we are never getting full.
1 out of 999 dining experiences I have had (and it was the best one) went like this : 85 pieces of sushi for 56 dollars. The two choices of sushi were California roll and spicy tuna roll. The dish rolled out like a special occasion all at once there was a lot of food. 1.) I knew there was enough 2.) I knew I would be full and so would my boyfriend 3.) it was fifty six dollars 4.) everything I needed was there on the table no asking no needing no waiting, and all of the 85 pieces, too. 5.) the vegetarian rolls were comforting for some reason 6.) I could go out and have a cigarette and come back to continue eating 7.) I had no where else to be 8.) it was hot outside and it was cold inside 9.) the bathrooms had faucets that turned on and off manually 10.) They gave an orange as a free desert which had been cut into art.
11) There was abundance and the workers must have known magic.
That was May 2025
My husband ordered us Carne asada burritos on Thursday, and it was so bad that I had to leave a review. Im not sure what's going on but the man who has been cooking there for many years was not there this day. We move out of the area but when we come this way we are always excited to get our favorite Carne Asada Burrito. Its usually the best burrito is Los Angeles if you ask us. We eat at all the taco trucks and Campos was #1, until our last visit. So I'm saying this to make the restaurant aware that something is wrong and you will lose customers if you don't get your chef back. Who ever was in the kitchen even cooked the tortilla chips wrong. I'll be honest I didn't finish mine, the little bit of meat they put was chewy like thick gum with no flavor, the rice was mushy loaded the burrito with beans. Look at the photos I attached and tell me if I'm wrong. I'm sorry but it was shockingly gross. We paid almost $30 for 2 burritos and If I wasn't busy on this day I would have came back for a refund. Its sad because we really enjoy having favorite places to go, and favorite menu items. Everything that we enjoy is being taken away, like the 99 cents store closing down, and now good food is being tampered with, and its hard to find a satisfactory meal. Everything is now in the past. Will Campos bring back the chef that gave them a good name in the neighborhood? Will they close down too? BRING BACK THE CHEF! BRING BACK THE CHEF! GIVE HIM A RAISE! BRING BACK THE CHEF!
it's a shame we didn't read the reviews before buying a burrito from this place! it was the worst burrito I've ever had, they didn't even bother to cut up the chicken, they just put a healthy piece of breast in. of course this "burrito" tasted terrible
