August 30, 2025 I was visiting this place for lunch for the second time in about a month. I had rice with a cream of beans (fava) and a piece of fried chicken breast. The portion was big and tasted very good. I also bought a guatita to go. The food is definitely from the Manabi Coast of Ecuador who have a reputation of very good tasty food.

🇪🇨 ECUADOR (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – The tables she sets up are in a constant ebb and flow of Ecuadorians arriving for lunch, and others taking a break from their volleyball games to eat. Spaces will be made if necessary, and the whole thing feels like a big community gathering for someone visiting the first time. For Yanine and her regular customers, it is just another Saturday in Elysian Park.

Yanine's highly recommended Ecuadorian cuisine with its Manabí flavor is served every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. at Elysian Park, marked on Google Maps. I recommend the albacore encebollado, mixed ceviche, viche, and their rice with roast beef, udder, and lentil stew.
