I visited "湘见串串" in Alhambra, which I initially thought was a hotpot place but turned out to be a delightful barbecue spot. The restaurant exudes a warm and smoky vibe with its red and gold signage. The service was welcoming, and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed the grilled squids and prawns, which were juicy and perfectly seasoned with a special sauce. The spicy crab was a standout with its crispy shell and succulent meat, infused with authentic Hunan flavors. The Mapo Tofu was deliciously spicy and comforting, while the Farmhouse Bowl, topped with eggs, offered a rich medley of flavors. The臭豆腐 was crispy and aromatic, and the stir-fried vegetables provided a refreshing balance. The meal ended on a sweet note with the soft and sweet red sugar glutinous rice cakes. Outside the restaurant, the nearby "花甜里" dessert shop adds to the charm with its popular Labubu events. This place is a fantastic addition to Alhambra's dining scene and is conveniently close to home.

The first time we came to this restaurant was because we saw Zhangcha Duck (Tea-Smoked Duck) on their menu! And it definitely didn’t disappoint. We’ve tried Zhangcha Duck from many places nearby, but today’s was really impressive—I highly recommend everyone give it a try. Their duck is served hot, with crispy skin and tender, fall-apart meat that even our family members with weaker teeth enjoyed. The spicy fish was also delicious, with a rich and flavorful taste .

They also have desserts that our kids absolutely loved! The Labubu-themed ones were super cute and fun. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable! It’s rare these days to find a restaurant that offers delicious food at such fair prices.

Lastly, I have to give them credit for their great service—the friendly atmosphere really adds to the experience. Good food is one thing, but feeling relaxed and comfortable while dining makes it even better.

The food is absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of bold, spicy flavors — especially the grilled skewers. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. A must-try for anyone who loves spicy cuisine🤩🤩

Orange Bistro is a hidden gem for Chinese food lovers in the area! The combination of Shandong BBQ and Hunan cuisine is a perfect match.
Tried the red willow wood large meat skewers—juicy and flavorful. Big Squid in BBQ was tender with a nice char. For Hunan dishes, Fresh Pepper and Zi Su Stewed Live Fish was fresh and spicy, ideal for pairing with rice.
Service was great too—friendly staff and timely orders. If you miss authentic Chinese flavors abroad, this place won’t disappoint. 5 stars all the way!
