Customer Reviews
Obviously, for a small hole in the wall, donut shop, those go by different standards than most restaurants. But I’ve noticed the past couple of months I kind of arrogance and lack of politeness and customer care that any relatively decent neighborhood. Donut shop should care about.
This donut shop happens to be right across from Valley College and has a tremendous advantage because of location. I’m guessing it’s that location, and the fact that they are fairly busy throughout the day because of the college, that they’ve done away with manners, respect, and politeness to even loyal customers.
The main owner is a male gentleman about 6 foot with glasses, and they gouged you on pricing – if you use anything other than cash you’ll get charged 5% of your sale. Credit card fees are not that high, so they’re profiting off of credit cards.
Which seems kind of rude to kids going to Valley college who clearly are there because they cannot afford higher education.
The donuts are pricey, they come to over a dollar each, and they’re nothing special. They’re just standard run at the male donuts.
You have to beg for napkins, even if you buy a dozen donuts which seems cheap and see. And most donut shops end of night to get fresh pastries will at least do a slight discount, but this store would rather throw them out, then give a discount to their loyal customers.
All of this is totally within their rights, but being courteous and disrespectful of regular customers is not OK – you’re a freaking donut shop, and there’s about 100 within a mile radius. Hopefully this review will help if you go to other donut shops and maybe I’ll start to learn slowly that Customer loyalty is a privilege, not an entitlement.
My husband and I just bought a house in the neighborhood and were looking for a place to grab a quick sandwich and pastry before going to our closing meeting.
The two young women working inside were SO welcoming. Truly, you would think they knew we were soon to be neighbors to the store. The ambiance inside is clean and bright, with a well-stocked display case of fresh donuts near the counter and several coolers of various beverages (a good selection, too) across from it.
Our order was VERY freshly made and prepared quickly. We also ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of drip coffee and took it to go. The sizes of the sandwiches are very generous (pics don’t do it justice, but I’m only holding HALF in the photo) and it was so tasty! Fresh, crisp, and flavorful.
This donut stop is a MUST. New to the area, so not sure if it’s the norm, but any New Yorkers should get bodega vibes from this stop. Will absolutely be making this a regular stop for my family.
Small family run shop. Solid donuts and solid breakfast sandwiches. We live in the neighborhood and come here often.
Note there is not a lot of seating inside so it’s more of a grab and go. There are a few seats outside.
ts wz so buss. The Bacon Egg and Cheese was so good for such a low price. Coming here every time i’m back in LA, amazing.
when i say that this is the best little donut and crossiant place i’ve ever been to, i’m being dead serious. i usually like to get the turkey and cheese sandwhich with a few modifications and they excute it perfectly. the bread is just toasty enough where it’s still soft but has a little bit of a crackle to it. the avocados are fresh and ripened to perfection. the cheese is soft and slightly melted and the turkey is so good and fresh. i don’t even like turkey all that much but this turkey sandwich is out of the world. when i close my eyes i see this turkey sandwich. it’s in my dreams. i look forward to ordering and eating that sandwich on my breaks from work. i have never in my life been so passionate about a sandwich. it’s so good paired with a pineapple apple juice. those are my favorites. i’ve also tried all the smoothies they have and they are all so amazing and they taste like heaven. finding this place was one of the best things that’s ever happened to me genuinely. and the two workers that i always see are so friendly and nice and they bring ur order out to u when u sit on the tables outside. they are so sweet and blessed with such a talent to make such a good sandwich. i love them and this sandwich and this whole place with all of my heart.
