Its own and run by a family of asians. It’s a small place but clean. The servings are large and filling at a good price. Whats wrong is that they seat you where they want you! they dont come around often to check on you. What is very uncomfortable is the two males just constantly staring at you, not to offer help or pick up plates. Its not very welcoming, the reason not returning or to visit for the first time.
I recently visited Basket Burger Café and really enjoyed the experience. Parking can be a little tricky since it’s limited, but once you step inside, the charm of the place makes up for it. The restaurant is small, but in a good way—it feels cozy and welcoming. There are a few tables along the wall, a long counter with chairs where you can watch the kitchen in action, and a few more tables along the south wall.
The food here is delicious and freshly made, with that comforting, homemade feel. If they’re busy, be prepared to wait a bit, but trust me—it’s worth every minute. I loved my meal, and the standout dish I kept noticing was the teriyaki chicken and rice, which honestly looked like the star of the menu. I quickly wished I had ordered it myself!
My wife and I both enjoyed our food, and with tip we spent a little over $40, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
From the atmosphere to the flavors, it’s clear this place has history. It appears to be family-owned and operated, and from what I’ve heard, they’ve been in business for over 40 years—which says a lot about their consistency and community support.
Overall, Basket Burger Café is a hidden gem worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Really cute spot. Cash only but no complaints when it’s this good.
If you're looking for a mom and pop style breakfast, you need to stop by. The place is small, they only have three tables and counter seats. Their food is always delicious and they are very friendly and attentive. They are only open until 2pm, they do serve more than breakfast they also serve sandwiches, burgers, chili, fries and more. Very popular and busy, if you're in a hurry you can always place an order to go. FYI they are CASH ONLY.
This place hit me by surprise. Before walking it I had no idea that this place is very popular. There was a small line ahead of me but it cleared shortly. All the staff were friendly and sweet. The food I got was some of the best breakfast in a while. The potato hash was crispy outside and moist inside. Pancakes were amazing but they get soaked with maple syrup easily so go easy with maple syrup. This store had throwback vibes which I loved.
