We came here as a group of six. The food is absolutely delicious. The schnitzels are huge. The sausages are delicious and full of flavor. I recommend the potatoes and cucumber side. They are super delicious. Everything was so good. The fish sausage is something I’ve never had before, but obviously it was like super delicious.
The space Bia Om has is simply a wonderful vibe and the perfect spot to sip some beer on a sunny weekend day. I wish the portions were larger or less expensive so you could get more small plates, but I’ll be back for the vibes and menu changes nonetheless! I’m excited to see if they release more beers brewed in house and how they continue to enhance their ambiance.
Bia Om is a hidden treasure. The beer is very good, the food is exceptional, and the space is beautiful and fun. A lot of care was clearly put into realizing this spot and it shows.
The service was great. Even on a busy day we had multiple waiters stop by to make sure everything was okay with our table. The food was good, but I wouldn't say this is a place to come for the food. Also a bit overpriced. But the atmosphere and outside area is fun.
On my fourth visit to Bia Om I felt the need to review in hope that owners will read.
Bia Om is a great venue for Los Angeles with five star atmosphere… However you’ll be hard pressed to find a well priced item on the menu, which is a shame for somewhere that is modeled after a beer garden.
Beer garden IMO = a generous place
overflowing sudsy beer/ piles of steamy sauerkraut and stacks of wieners.
Not
8$ mugs of fermented sugar water or little plates of sauerkraut (delicious) that I swear I could have eaten in two mouthfuls. My schnitzel was good but for 28$ I’ll pound my own pork.
It’s disappointing that the generosity in atmosphere and design isn’t reflected in the menu, as whatever fun I’ve had here is tainted by obvious price gouging. Perhaps we’re paying for all the uncomfortable teak benches. It’s too bad that uncomplicated beer food can’t be made affordable and welcome a more diverse demographic representing LA.
Future visits to Bia Om I’ll stick to drinking water, enjoying the company of friends, in the welcoming ‘garden’, without spending a dime!
