Honestly, i have a love hate relationship with Bills. The restaurant is so old, outdated, seems dirty, and the food is so unhealthy, BUT, man do i love this classic place. The food has tasted the same since I was a kid and my mom says the same when she was a kid. It's feel good food that hits so many spots that i HAVE to keep coming back! I have left LA but anytime I'm there visiting family or driving through i must stop here. Now for the food, heavy, saucy, tasty, messy, super good. I only ever get two things there, the Silva Burrito no beans and an order of fries. The burritos are huge, meat is tasty, and the gravy sauce is a must. Bills is definitely something of it's own caliber, you probably have never tasted something like it, based off seeing exotic cars and beater up cars lining up to get the food, something tells me you'll most likely be back. Enjoy and don't expect this place as anything fancy at all! Just dang good food!
Was really excited to eat at such a historical spot and the service was great but the food was just OK. Not bad at all but also not something I feel the need to back for. Got the 3 taco special…the sauce is great and they use hamburger patties for the meat. Definitely greasy and would probably taste bet if eaten hot.
I Got a silver burrito that wasn’t worth $20 no sides no bean just a tortilla and meat and her so-called gravy. She Swear she knows you greet you with long time no see lol I was here 3days ago.
I've been eating Bills since before I was physically born. From the one on MLK, the one on Slauson, even when they had one on Manchester where the donut shop is now. And now this one. It's clean, setup nice, and the food is alright. However, what is missing is the OG guys that worked the Slauson location. The one in the Nipsey video the other guy and the one guy that is left. Somebody left with the recipes…it just doesn't taste the same after all these years it was exactly the same but it's changed and the only thing I can think is somebody knew the actual recipe. I used to eat Bill's at least once a week now maybe once every few months. Bring the other guys back.
Went to bills and expected it to be just like on slauson and Crenshaw. The service was nice but the food idk. Idk if it was the tomatoes or the sauce but it was nasty. I ate two tacos because they were good but it had a horrible after taste and my stomach is now pounding. I would I go back? Probably most def not.
