No matter how many times I visit Ktown, it still manages to surprise me.
Butnal, packed with Korean diners, feels authentic from the moment you walk in — the vibe, the decor, everything!
We came for their boneless spicy chicken feet, and wow… they totally blew us away. Tender, flavorful, perfectly spicy — just addictive.
Their assorted savory pancake is also something special, topped with Korean-style tempura I haven’t seen anywhere else.
And of course, no trip to a true Korean spot is complete without budae jjigae.
No matter how many times I’ve had it, I never get tired of it.
Pair it all with some soju, and with the cozy wooden booths, it honestly feels like stepping into a K-drama.
To top it off — they give you ice cream when you pay the bill. Delicious, aesthetic, and absolutely coming back!
One of the few restaurants that stays open late!
The food is delicious and offers a variety of options. I ordered the 닭도리탕(chickenstew?) combo with 알밥 and soju. The price was $5x, which I think is a great value.
They also served free popcorn and free ice cream !!!
The staff provides good service and super friendly!!! ✌🏻
The atmosphere is great, and they play K-pop music! It feels just like being in a bar in Korea.
There is parking available behind the restaurant, but it's very tight.
– street parking is recommended
My new regular spot ! Highly Recommended 🫶🏼
A cozy restaurant with nice staff. I enjoy the atmosphere it has as it gave off a warm place to enjoy food and drinks with friends. The gentleman who served us was incredibly nice, and due to the fact that we were new to an establishment like this, he was very helpful in explaining what food items were in the dishes, how the heat level is on them and how the items were shareable here. When my dish came out, I was amazed by the sizes of my dish and my friends. It looked amazing, smelled and tasted amazing. What a lovely experience and I can't wait to experience this lovely place again and try other dishes. I hope anyone who sees this review will also take the time to enjoy this restaurant.
I love all the menus here! The food portion was so good, and they are known for the Korean style pancakes, very savory and delicious and crispy! You can get free ice cream after your meal!
Update with photos: back in LA, for another round of soju and pork belly. I saw they have new summer items. If you wany yo try Korean cold noodles, I'm certain they do it well here. Will try to get pics next time.
Hole in the wall Korean joint, great for locals, family, and friends.
Food is great, service is friendly. Typically get the sliced pork dish (bossam, pronounced boh-sahm), or anything fried. Of course the soju and beer lineup is great. Also, very clean and welcoming decor with wooden interior. They have combos to try, but never hesitate to ask the servers their recommendations as they all speak English. Can't wait to try their budaejigae (soldier's soup).
