Chinese food in Florida really blows compared to the northeast. It really is a shame. It's not even really close.
I've tried just about every place in the area now and none compare to what you get up north. I do not understand why.
So with that out of the way, I was pleasantly surprised with the crab rangoon at China Panda. The flavor was much better than most everywhere else in the area, and as that is my go-to app, that is important. So bravo on the crab rangoons!
However, the beef and chicken teriyaki were hands down some of the worst I have seen in my life. This was not teriyaki flavored. I think it was more like what you were typically get on beef spareribs, but did not taste good at all. Vinegar flavor came out very strongly. So, I can get past the flavor being off a little, but what really did it in was the meat. The beef was like shoe leather. I don't know what they were doing to this, but it was not good at all.
I should note – the ladies at the counter were quite friendly – thank you for the great service, despite the food quality being iffy.
I just really couldn't put my finger on it, truly was like the time when I ate in Hawaii you looked around and there were no dogs in site, if you know you know. The fried rice was yellow, threw hubby off but he ate (5bites) reluctantly we had already spent the money and walked down to get while staying at the Edgewater hotel. Hubby says the General Tso was super soggy and spicy.
The chicken lo mean was well just order the noodles the chicken was so hard the chickens wouldn't eat it.
I did eat the spring roll after plucking the guts out of it.
Best thing about this meal was the .99 cent Coke we stopped and got at Tony Liquor store on way back.
My mom always said you could eat any meal with a Coke and be happy I'll be darned she was right. My mom knows best.
This place has some authentic Chinese food.
The chicken lo mein was delicious and cooked to perfection.
They customized our order making it spicy to our liking. The hot and sour soup plus their spring rolls were also great.
We dined in and their service is friendly.
Its a cozy and comfortable place.
We will be back to them for our Chinese food cravings.
Highly recommend trying them.
Chicken tasted old, it may have been made a day prior. Same with the yellow rice. Absolutely NOT fresh. The restaurant is in too nice of a location to be wasted on such mediocre food.
So this was 16.50. Now I have been going here for years and now I will not be returning again. For 16.50 I was suppose to get noodles all on the bottom of the plate and the chicken was suppose to sit on top of the noodles like always. What is this!!!! You get more food then this at chipotle for a way lower price. I am highly upset with this one. 16.50 just for this half plate of food and dry wings. Smh do better please. I put oil on the noodles to try and give them life again smdh.
Now the picture with the pork fried rice and noodles was food I got 3 days after this at a different restaurant It was $7 and had I got the chicken wings it would have been $9. Look how much food they gave me. Learn from them please.
