The food at D-Pasadita was sooo good! The lomo saltado was super juicy and packed with flavor. We also tried the arroz chaufa and the fettuccine a la huancaína—both were absolutely delicious. Big portions too—definitely left full and happy. The place was really clean, and I loved the music they were playing—it added a great vibe. The chef and waitress were both super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I’m so glad I brought my mom and sister—they loved it too! We’ve never had Peruvian food before, and now we’re hooked. I’m definitely coming back! 😊
I came across D_Pasadita on Yelp while looking for some Hot New Spots to try…
A combination of Peruvian and Mexican eats in a rough patch of town…errr called South Central…
Good news; one can order from D_Pasadita on Door Dash according to the owner or maybe manager? At least I think he was the owner. I'm not sure if he's on any other platforms. Nice guy, a bit rough around the edges.
Hole in the wall vibes from the outside, but the inside is actually clean and inviting; Minimalist decor flanked with a bunch of artwork. Not the biggest of venues, but I get the feeling most of the orders are to go or for takeout at the moment. I believe D_Pasadita is fairly new. Wait till word gets out…
#PeruvianEats:
~ Bread w/ sauce – 4/5
I couldn't tell you what kind of sauce this was… it had a bit of a kick to it and was tasty.
~ Arroz Chaufa [CBS] – 4.5/5
A hearty Peruvian fried rice dish with veggies, sausage, scrambled eggs and an optional choice mix of Chicken, Beef & Shrimp. Hearty, tasty and a good value. Bacán!
~ Lomo Saltado [B] – 4/5
Another classic Peruvian dish with beef, stir-fried onions, tomatoes, and peppers served with fries and rice. Another solid, tasty dish that is yet again filling and tasty. Bueno!
No problems coming back, even though it's a bit out of the way…
Insanely delicious. I don't normally order pasta at restaurants, but this fettuccine with the yellow sauce was something I've never had before. It came with lomo Saltado. Yall I was floored. So flavorful. The portions are super generous, and believe me, you're going to want leftovers! You can tell the chef is passionate about the food and this restaurant. Highly recommend it.
[I was told I could park on the left side of the lot]
The food was really good and very juicy for the lomo saltado! Portions were big and satisfying. Very clean, and I love the art on the walls. The chef and waitress were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I'm glad I found this place on Google maps. I'm definitely returning ☺️
I ordered the Lomo Soltado. (Peruvian)
Vibe was nice and welcoming, small and full of culture.
The food itself was amazing, something new to me but if you’re open to trying new foods this is a must try. The meat is very tender, the veggies are cooked perfect and the seasoning was great not too much.
I also got a Huarache (Mexican) and that was great as well. Paired with a Tamarindo Jarrito.
The price for both was $29 so fairly well priced for other comparable restaurants. Especially when the food was so fresh the steam just rolled off in this photo.
Only downside was not much parking available.
