THIS PLACE RUINED 2 PAIRS OF MY UNDERWEAR!
After not going here for a few years, I thought I'd come to try it out again. Now I remember why I never liked this place. I asked for a carne asada burrito and after paying almost $20, I got a burrito falling apart with mostly rice, yet somehow still dripping grease all over!
There's hardly any meat, so why is it full of grease?
I eat Mexican food all around Los Angeles, even Texas and New Mexico, and this place is now the worst that I've been to in years.
I also noticed that only Mexicans seem to get decent food here. That says something about the staff.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Food trucks and even street taco stands are better options than this place.
THIS PLACE SUCKS!
The salsa is ok though.
Man, the Carne asada burrito was amazing. They really know how to season the meat, and this was no plain Jane burrito it was big and well worth it. I need to try more items on the menu…highly recommended..
Hungover?
Need Pozole or Menudo? Is it Saturday or Sunday? This place has it all. My friend and I needed Pozole ASAP after friday nights craziness. It hit the spot, delicious.
If you don't like the pigs foot I suggest you tell the lady. They don't put a bunch of maiz and theres plenty of meat.
House made torillas and they have the classic huge grill, grilling chicken outside. You can smell it a couple blocks down.
The only downside about this place is, THEY TAKE FOREVER! buttttt it's worth it in the end.
Service: The ladies are very nice and attentive.
Ambiance: Classic mexican restaurant decor with TVs
I wanted authentic so bad and this wasn't it. I haven't been here in years and was excited to eat but was truly disappointed. This was a white-washed version of Mexican food with no depth of flavor to be found. The food was not hot and the orders were mixed up as well. Chefs day off perhaps?
Favorite Mexican eatery period and pretty excited to finally be able to eat inside again. Reasonable prices, generous portions and the most outstanding feature: everything is homemade there in the restaurant from the chorizo to the corn tortillas and heavenly horchata. You can taste the quality! Taco connoisseurs must visit Don Zarape #2 for what I guarantee will be some of the best tacos you'll ever eat. Space between alternating tables to encourage social distancing and if you order to go, please wait outside where seating is also available.
