Absolutely great pupusas in this place, and my brother loves the revuelto pupusas but I always go for the cheese ones, soooooooooooo good !
I ordered food to go and it was not good. I only ate it because I was hungry and my daughter wouldn't eat it (SHE AND I WERE HUNGRY). I purchased a carne asada burrito and if I could compare the flavor, if the flavor even existed in this world, I will have to say it tasted like savory Fabuloso. My daughter had two frijol y queso papusas to eat and she didn't even finish one (only two bites). She said it had no flavor…she even specified that it tasted like it had no sof and the bean and cheese inside tasted like a sugarless milk chocolate. I tried it to see what the flavor was, and she was absolutely right. I just want to remind you, my daughter and I were hungry because we didn't eat all day. Normally when you're hungry almost anything tastes delicious. This is one of those restaurants where it may not matter how hungry you are, and it may always taste horrible. I hope this helps in your next food adventures in Arleta/Pacoima.
Went to grab some pupusas today at this place. Probably not coming back.
The chicharrón tasted a bit sour like it was close to spoiling.
The refried beans tasted burnt.
I ordered chicharrón with cheese, chicharrón, and bean & cheese pupusas.
I've gone to this place for a long time, their pupusas were always decent, but today it was just not good in anyway.
I've been to various pupusa stands and restaurants, this has been the best so far. It has become my go to spot when I'm craving some pupusas. Remember, pupusas take time. They are made fresh to order. If you're in a rush, call. There is a wait for your food. But it's worth it.
I guess you get what you get. The tamales was soggy, it even had a potato in it. I never seen that before. The beans was salty and like soup. The rice was ok and the street taco was so greasy. Never going back! The service was good just the food no good. At this rate I'd rather go to El Torito or Acapulco the Americanized version. Or I could be missing NM style Mexican food.
