Customer Reviews
Ive had more unfortunate experiences here than positive ones. The only reason I kept going was because of time constraints. The moment that made me decide to never go back (Id rather skip lunch) is they charged me for something I didn’t even order. The crazy thing is that the lady who took my order was right next to the cashier. She did not bother to correct her and acted as if that was the correct price. I checked the menu in person, the menu online, and asked other community members about the price and it all verified I was scammed. I can understand high prices (that don’t even coincide with the portions you get) but purposely charging incorrectly is on a whole other level. I was baffled and decided to let them have the extra $7 they hustled from me. They wont see $1 from me ever again.
My family and I were excited to try the barbacoa at this place! We drove an hour to do so. The barboca was delicious. However, the service was terrible and ruined the positive idea of the place. My mother's diet is very limited due to health issues, so we made sure to be clear about how her food should be prepared. The staff did not fulfill our order as requested and did not offer to remake the food as it was ordered. We ended up paying for the wrong order and had to go to another place so mom could eat. I would not recommend this place because of that. The lady serving was not friendly or customer service centrict. It's a shame since their barbacoa is so good
Edit: I have been back multiple times. Service has improved! Food is still delicious
My first time coming to this place and I hope they get tons of customers because this place is one of the best spots in East LA! Handmade tortillas, gorditas and they use their own recipes. Very traditional cooking like homemade food. The chicharron gordita was my favorite with the green salsa (nonspicy) if you are like me that don't eat spicy foods. I can't wait to come back again.
Food was great, we order mixiotes. But customer service sucks!!! We had to wait so they will take our drinks orders. When we order the lady look like is that all, I said yes, and she stood there listening to our conversation, so I request to start our order, she did left but with a bad attitude. We got our order and when a ask for extra plates she brought me a bowl when we were eating tacos from the mixiotes, hello!!! Bowls??? When we finally finished, both workers decided to eat at the same time, and they couldn't bring the check. They ask us to wait. They were done eating but they were still discussing their personal life. We just felt completely uncomfortable. The one star is for having the worst customer service I ever had, and I had bad experience at the fast food but here can soda $2.95, bottle soda $3.95, and so on. No people at the restaurant since the moment we enter to the moment we left.
