Amazing Experience at La Michoacana in Ocoee!

I recently visited La Michoacana in Ocoee, Florida, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The selection of ice creams, paletas, and other Mexican treats is absolutely fantastic. The flavors are so rich and authentic—definitely a taste of Mexico right here in Ocoee!

I’ve been here a few times. My first visits were great—the employees were friendly, and the food was good. Unfortunately, my recent experiences haven’t been the same. The employees now come across as rude and uninterested, and the food quality has dropped. The fruit cups are especially disappointing: they come with fewer than six chunks that are the size of my hand , fruit pieces are often either too squishy or too hard.

This place made me sooo happy. It’s colorful and bright and just so fun. My girls tried a few flavors of ice cream and they were all delicious. I went for the mangonada which is mango sorbet topped fresh mango topped with tajin. It was amazing and the portion is generous and shareable. We didn’t go for food, just dessert but we ended up seeing someone with walking tacos and we couldn’t resist so we tried that as well (added steak for protein/up charge but worth it). I did order nuggets for my little and wouldn’t do that again. The nuggets weren’t great (and $9) but who goes there for nuggets anyways. Other than that, this is a definite re-do. I can’t wait to try their paletas and aguas frescas next time.

10/10 recommend! You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. We recently had their Tosti-Aguachile (served only on weekends) it was INCREDIBLE! if you like spicy ask for the Tostitos Xxtra Flamin chips 😉 this photo does not do it justice, go try it for yourself.
