I’ve been to Mannan Restaurant in Jamaica several times and always liked their food, but I never really gave a review before—now I think they truly deserve it. The Baby Goat Kacchi is soft and full of flavor, just like a wedding feast back home, and the Haji Biryani with juicy meat and potato has that irresistible deshi aroma. Their Hilsha Fish with daal tastes homely and balanced, while the Alu Bhaji with Paratha is simple but comforting, perfect for breakfast style. For snacks, the Chicken Samosa is crispy outside and spicy inside—too easy to finish. After all the spice, the Mango Lassi comes as the sweetest relief, thick and refreshing. I also tried the Beef Curry, rich and smoky with soft meat, the Shutki Vorta with its strong smell but addictive taste of mustard oil and chili, and the Alu Vorta that reminded me of childhood—so simple yet perfect with rice. Altogether, Mannan feels less like a restaurant and more like a deshi kitchen serving love in every dish. Last, I would definitely recommend going with friends and family.

I’ve always been a big fan of Mannan Restaurant in Jamaica. For years, I mostly went there for their biryani and authentic deshi khabar like vorta, dal, beef curry, and shutki. The biryani is rich with flavor, perfectly spiced without being overwhelming, and the vorta and dal have that true homestyle taste you don’t often find in restaurants. Every dish feels like it’s been made with care, bringing out the comfort of Bangladeshi cooking.

Recently, I decided to try something different and picked up a few items from their bakery section, and I’m glad I did. The cream bread was soft, lightly sweet, and fresh — almost melting in the mouth — while their pickles added the right amount of tangy, spicy kick that pairs so well with rice dishes. These bakery items turned out to be an excellent complement to their main menu, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

What I like about Mannan is that it’s not just about one or two standout dishes; it’s the consistency and variety. Whether it’s a filling plate of biryani, a side of dal with vorta, or a simple snack like cream bread and pickles, everything carries the same quality. Mannan continues to be one of my favorite spots in Jamaica, and now I know I can rely on them for both a hearty meal and tasty bakery treats.

This restaurant rice , mix vegetables really gives us in Bengali vibes.
They have beef vhuri, it’s really awesome.
