Pulled up on a Sunday when everywhere else had an hour wait … best move ever.
Grabbed shrimp tacos, ceviche with shrimp & pulpo, and the shrimp curacaus… fire!
Lady at the counter was super nice, service on point, and that bottled horchata hit all natural! Wife loved it! 🔥
Chill spot to sit outside, relax, and enjoy some legit LA mariscos.
Definitely putting my friends on to this place — they gotta try it!

Very good food. All the flavors were that and more. Enjoyed my mariscos molcajete very much and the flavor of the pineapple 🍍 plates were worth everything. Maria, the blonde waitress attended us very well and the cooks also greeted us, told us about their dishes and their flavors. Small hole in the wall but very good place. Perfect for hangovers.
I placed a phone/in person order today, for 2 tostadas, an order of tacos gobernador and 2 micheladas. I was overcharged like, at least $25. I showed up, the restaurant was super hot. I seen my order in this hot 93 degree weather day on the counter (remember, no a/c) sitting in the temperature danger zone for raw seafood (take a safeserv class if you don't know what I'm talking about). The cashier ends up saying it's $120 and I'm like, how? If you go to order on grub hub or any other online ordering platform, you can see the tostadas listed for 28$ and the tacos for $11. I called back and asked them why they overcharged me and she said those prices are old. how? You can literally place the order online right now. I told her that and she came up with, those are smaller portions. Mind you, they don't offer smaller portions it's simply one size. Not only that but how can you make 3 tacos into smaller portions? Wild. I won't be returning. The food was below mid. It needed flavor. I added my receipt so you could compare the prices online versus when you order in the restaurant. I was literally robbed.
Mariscos el levanton is delicious, people are great and there is no complaints here. The owner is in the kitchen and the older lady in the front is just lovely.
This establishment is highly regarded, offering a compelling value proposition with one-dollar tacos available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The extensive menu and consistently positive customer service, coupled with the quality of the food, contribute to a favorable dining experience.
