I'm only going to give you a review on the pandesal and service.

Came here cause my friend posted it on Social media. And I wasn't going down this path but I ended up since the 101 was packed! Why not! Only 3 people in front of me and it wasn't long wait. I asked if they take credit card but they said ONLY if you spend $10. So why not I bought five bags.. The bread was still warm. So I had two while driving home. Had to give one to my niece and tell her the story of "when I was young." She loved it and so did I. Soft and good. Got home and put some butter on that baby.

It reminded me of Betsy Bakery and tasted like it to!!! Will come back for sure when I crave it. $2.25 for ten pandesal!! Yes not the usually Betsy $1. For 12.

Bought a cake here as additional dessert for mom's birthday.

The cake was served almost immediately when I got home (5 minutes later) as my nieces are the ultimate uber cake fiends! …and grandma was always happy to indulge.

The sponge cake was very dry and the mocha buttercream frosting had a tangy unusual flavor. It was then that we realized the bakery was not only selling older but SPOILED/RANCID baked goods😔
I also bought another dish I forget the name of – not memorable because it was bland.

These food items were not cheap so I was really disappointed and seriously contemplated calling the health department bc I was concerned my experience was an unlikely anomaly.

Yes, I strongly believe we all should support our local mom & pops and small businesses, but I can't continue to patronize any establishment that hold their profit margin (never mind quality and value) above the health and well-being of the very community they depend on.

I came during business hours. Sign outside said "Come in, we're open!" I tried opening the door; locked. Saw another sign which said "Will be back at 11:30." It was 12nn. I know things happen but.. really? It isn't asking much for businesses to be professional.

My Mom’s Bakeshop is one of the best hole in the wall spots in Los Angeles. Located in the heart of Historic Filipinotown, this big shot is a real treat because you cannot find the same type of offerings anywhere else. Authentic to the car, the small bake shop offers many Filipino delicacies.

First of all, when you walk in, you can immediately smell the hot and fresh pan de sal, the Filipino’s version of a bread loaf. Well you can find this bread in any other Filipino grocery stores, what makes it special here, is that this is freshly baked, and piping hot. It reminds me of when I live in the Philippines and you would wake up and get this fresh bread. Nowhere else in los Angeles or even California I think offers hot bread like this. Another one of their great offerings is their brazo de mercedes: This is a rolled cake with a sweet de Leche caramel filling.

Lastly, the owner is a sweetheart. She definitely remind you of your Filipino Tita, grandma, or mom when you walk into the bakeshop. Ditch the chains and give this place a try!

The most delicious bread pudding here. I've moved away but still find myself salivating thinking of it sometimes. The owner is so kind too. Support this business!!
