Hands down the worst Korean BBQ experience I’ve ever had. The hygiene was atrocious — filthy utensils and plates that looked like they hadn’t been properly washed in days. The meat was shockingly low quality, borderline spoiled with a funky smell and grayish tint that made us question whether it was even safe to eat.
The steamed egg? 80% water and tasted like it was cooked in a chemistry lab — a weird, artificial flavor that lingered in the worst way. To top it off, the staff seemed completely uninterested and untrained — more like grumpy students forced into work than actual servers. Rude, inattentive, and borderline hostile.
For two people, the bill somehow still came out to $150. The only redeeming factor was that they had parking… which still wasn’t free.
Save your money, your appetite, and your stomach. There are way better options out there that won’t make you feel like you need a tetanus shot after dinner.
Wow I was quite impressed with this AYCE kbbq. Their meat quality is pretty top tier. Their beef brisket and beef belly isn’t anything extraordinary but I was so amazed by their rib eye, filet mignon, marinated beef, and other cuts such as pork jowl as well. Their jigaes were great and banchan was solid too. Service was amazing and quick only downside was the floor was super super greasy so very slippery
Had a late Saturday lunch at 4 pm with our large group. It wasn't too busy at this time, but for our size of 9, they did had to split us into two tables next to each other of 4 and 5. No automatic gratuity for us though. The cost was $37.99 per person.
For both tables, we ordered the brisket, chuck flap, ribeye, steamed egg, honeycomb pork belly, beef short rib, and filet mignon. We really enjoyed the filet mignon, beef short rib, chuck flap, and brisket and went back for seconds on our order. Service was pretty good, no complaints. We're definitely keeping this place in mind if we're back in the area for a large group meal. Only downside is no walkable boba spot nearby.
They have valet parking, but you can also utilize street parking, if you can find a spot.
Oo Kook offers a wide variety of unlimited Korean BBQ options.
On weekdays, you can enjoy their Happy Hour special from 5-7 PM at just $30 per person. However, the Happy Hour period tends to be very busy, making parking and securing a table a challenge.
Even with valet parking, I had to wait a while to park, and the parking fee is $4.
Considering the affordable price for unlimited options, the quality of the meat and food is excellent.
Despite the busyness, the staff provided quick and attentive service.
In a time of rising prices, their affordable Happy Hour makes this place worth 5 stars!
Service here was really strong. The servers are so attentive and really fun to talk to. Very speedy too. The food was also great for the price. Very affordable for all you can eat in LA. Be sure to come hungry. The meets were great and everything came out amazingly. I would wish that they had more than three main sauce options because I love yum yum sauce but overall the options they had were still good. I would definitely come back here and am very glad I chose to come
