What a wonderful Korean restaurant. Yes the BBQ is fantastic, with several options including shrimp chicken and veggies for those who don't eat beef or pork. But the banchan and other a la carte items are also fantastic! Even the stew and salad that comes with the meal were extremely tasty and not an afterthought. Definitely worth a visit!
Legit the best experience I’ve had at a KBBQ! All of my senses were elevated, specifically in regard to the the quality of the meats/food. The decor was an upgrade and it was so nice and clean. The service was also great, they were attentive and nice. They even help cook the meat. Make sure you try their signature Galbi dish (marinated)… it literally melts in your mouth! The banchan was also different- so much variety! Next time I want to try their meat combination boxes. The dumplings are also worth it… comes with a delicious dipping sauce. I can tell time, effort and love were put into the preparation of the sauces. I noticed the sesame sauce had garlic and salt flavors- the perfect umami! I definitely left full and happy.
Really good quality meat. Ggot Sal and other beef are great but soowon marinated galbi is must order. Banchan and Cold noodles were delicious and complimented the meal. The staff is top notch – cooks everything in perfection and brings your order at the right time
$165 Course B, pork jawl.
$22 Scallion Pancake Seafood. Would not recommend this.
$8 Steam Egg.
$15 Makgeoli sparkling rice wine.
Great service. Enough food for 4ppl.
Apparently, I visiteed so long ago. I guess I was too stuck up before? Due to my mom and family friend's expectations? I think most ppl go to Buena Park for decent traditional good kbbq. It's been awhile since I've been to kkbq. Thanks to yelper Henry K. for suggesting this place.
I'm less picky due to less opportunities. And seem to be around friends who didn't grow up around Koreans. I wouldn't expect this place to be incredible but it's decent. I could come back again. Looking forward to trying their cold noodles next time.
Ordered the Soowon Galbi and a steamed egg. The meat was very flavorful, sweet and tender. It went well with the egg and the other free side dishes they bring out.
