good music and good food! definitely a great place to stop by. Lunch time they have the taco truck! Asada & Al Pastor my top favorites!
Tacos de Valle al Carbón delivers big flavor with a no-frills, street-style charm that hits the spot. The grilled meats are the star here—especially the carne asada and al pastor, both juicy and packed with smoky flavor straight off the charcoal grill.
Tortillas are fresh, toppings are simple and on-point, and the salsas bring the right amount of heat. It’s clear they care more about quality food than fancy presentation, and that’s totally fine by me.
The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is the wait—things can move a bit slow during peak hours, and seating is limited. Still, once the food hits your hands, you forget all that. Plus, it is expensive ish.
It’s a must-visit if you love tacos with real flavor cooked over fire. Just show up hungry and maybe bring a friend to hold your spot in line
I was biking down Venice Boulevard when I came across this lively food truck and had to stop. Loved the street food, homely ambience that this truck has that is so often missing in the states! The tortas were delicious and I absolutely loved the authentic hot chocolate con concha! The hot cocoa really tasted just like the hot chocolate I had had in Mexico.
a bit on the pricey side (for the tlayuda it’s worth it). decent tacos good (you can get better ones elsewhere) tlayuda but the one thing u guys should watch out for is that they either add pork fat or maybe they just didn’t clean where they cooked a diff meat so it transferred. my whole mouth was coated w/ pork fat when i ate my tacos :/
(used up three lemons just to raven it out which didn’t rly help)
BUT the one thing that saved it was the crepe station next to it (added a star bc of them).
soooo good 1000/10 would recommend plus they give a ton of fruit which u don’t see very often. love them.
Best Oaxacan food in the area, without a doubt. The bellowing smoke from the bbq can be heard and smelled from blocks away, which is what grabbed our initial attention. The highlight here is certainly the Clayuda, as everyone else was eating that. In general though, the meat here is seasoned to perfection. Open Wed to Sat evenings only.
